So, how is everyone doing?
I have not gotten the time and the push to start my actual blogging since I put this site up. But now being cooped up in our home, I figure I get the chance to restart (for real) in the craziest of situations that we are all facing at this time.
By now I would hope that you have set up a new temporary-ish routine in your households. But in case you procrastinated and just trying to wing it while waiting for everything to get back to normal, here are some ideas I learned to use and practice during this period.
I put up a video for more details (and a little fun) here:
- Have a check on everyone in your household and discuss a new routine in place.
- Set your new priorities! List down your to-do list in 3 categories. Short term, long term, and helping others.
- Learn a new skill!
- Your home is YOUR OFFICE. Run it like a boss.
- Seek/ask for HELP and INSPIRATION!
If you’re still not feeling it, I don’t blame you. We may be ‘locked up’ in the sense but there are a gazillion ways to gather the sources you need with almost anything. This is connected with my #3: Find someone who inspires you to be better and will help you keep accountable for your endeavors. Your spouse, your siblings, a support group! Allow yourself to get inspired and challenged at the same time.
Speaking of which, for the past two years, I have been gathering some inspiration from Jordan Page, founder of Funcheaporfree.com. She’s a budget and frugal living expert but more than that, she’s a mom of 8 kids. Eight, can you imagine! When I found out about her I was a new mom, in the lonely stages of missing home and just trying to survive the day-to-day. She’s currently offering a free trial on her programs, namely, Budget Bootcamp and Productivity Bootcamp for the month of May! I’m currently enrolled in the budgeting one. As a relatively new couple navigating finances, our family now had a better grip on how to manage our money and actually talk about it on a regular basis, without hesitations.

Life may be tight right now but hang in there! Hope these ideas help. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay sane! It will all be okay.
Good advice! Glad you are making use of this time!
